Alainna Johnson

Counseling Intern in Training

Hi, I’m Alainna and am currently attending MidAmerica Nazarene University’s Master’s in Counseling program with a focus on marriage, family, and couples. Through tough life transitions, relationship dynamics, medical trauma, and loss — the experiences I’ve had in life has led me to this path today.

I understand therapy can be an intimidating place to explore your emotions and be vulnerable about life’s challenges. With this in mind, I value creating a safe, authentic space where you can feel seen and heard without judgment. Through connection there is healing. I am committed to walking through this journey alongside you.

Drawing from my experiences living cross-culturally, I get excited about working with people of all types of backgrounds and ages. Knowing no one person is the same, I emphasize a holistic approach in therapy to better understand your individual needs.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and going on walks with my one-year-old Chocolate Lab, Indie.

I am eager to meet you and hear your story!

Focus areas: Grief/Loss, Life Transitions, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma - PTSD, Women’s Health, Chronic Health conditions, Relationship and Attachments Issues, Communication for couples and families, Low Self-Esteem & Insecurities
