Georgia Raaf
Counseling Intern in Training
Hello! My name is Georgia, and I am a graduate student in the clinical mental health counseling program at MidAmerica Nazarene University. My passion for counseling grew from my own experience with mental health struggles and the way counseling helped me feel back in control of my life. Throughout that process, I learned how powerful it is to feel genuinely heard and understood, especially during difficult or uncertain seasons.
I understand that starting therapy can be uncomfortable or intimidating, and that opening up often takes time and courage. I strive to create a warm, genuine, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe being vulnerable and sharing your experiences. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down, I am here to walk alongside you in a way that feels supportive and collaborative.
I value the power of listening and honoring each person’s story as you make sense of your own experiences. It is important to me that you feel accepted as we work toward growth, clarity, and balance.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you in this process!
